A gamer - This game, like the console version, blows away all competitors. The SCEA baseball game called MLB 2006 lost many touches that made it the only contending baseball simulator. This game has amazing graphics. However lost is franchise, which no PSP games this year will have and online mode, which MLB 2006 has. However there is still a season mode and you can create players, which you can not do on MLB 2006. MVP also has console quality graphics and the hitter's eye. For those new to the MVP franchise, the hitter's eye is very useful. Right before the opponent throws a pitch, the ball in his hand turns a color for a split second. Each color symbolizes a different pitch. This disc is definately a great buy.

Smithy1185 (San Diego, CA USA) - If you want a portable golf game that is very close to matching the console versions, then look no further. This is a great game that is a lot of fun to play and take with you on the PSP. This version still has the feature where you create your own golfer with lots of customizable options. You can also upgrade their skill points after earning some cash on the green. Its true that the load times are pretty long. Easily the longest I have seen when compared to the other PSP games I have. However, don't let that scare you off from playing a great game. The controls are very well done although its not quite as easy as on the consoles. Also, this game is much better on the PSP than it is on the GBA or DS. Anyways, this game is worth getting if your a golf fan and want a new game for your PSP.

Gerald D. Avery "Movie Buff" (Chicago, Illinois) - I love playing this game. This was one of the first titles I bought for my PSP when it was released. Granted some of the load times are a bit long, but if you have some time to spend you should definitely give this game a shot. The graphics are great for a handheld game. No other game even comes close to matching it. The real fun for me is the challenge of creating a golfer from scratch and improving upon his attributes until he's able to compete with Tiger or Vijay. I play as Tiger and win as much money as I can so that I can improve my created golfer. That's the quickest way to earn lots of money so that your golfer can be competitive in a short amount of time. I highly recommend this game. I think it's well worth the $50.00 you'll spend to get it. I hope this review was helpful...

E. Meyers (Rockville, Maryland United States) - Since I found out what games were launching with the PSP, NBA was one of the ones on my list. Even after Gamespot and other pre-review sites smashed it, I thought it still may be good. The first day I had it, I was very skeptical. I was thinking that it really wasnt that good, and I was thinking of returning it. But then, after about 4 games, I got used to gameplay, most importantly the shooting, and the game turned around. It became a very fast paced and fun game, even against the computer. While it doesnt compare to ESPN NBA Basketaball 2k5 (Best basketball sim ever), it still is great, especially for a game you can take anywhere. If you get it, keep at it for a few days, and you'll realize that it is a great little game, that is very, very addicting.

Trading - When in a tournament or franchise, do not trade in that, trade in the home screen. In tournament or franchise, teams will not take your players, but in the home screen they will take anything.

Eric J. Wasson (Cincinnati, Ohio) - From the moment I had my PSP I wondered how good a baseball game could be on it. MLB exceeds those expectations. It is awesome. The pitching is easy, yet complex at the same time, and hitting is also very managable. I love NBA, which is also 989 and was hoping this game would be modeled after that as far as gameplay, and features..and it is. The negative: No Career mode. No player customization. Thats it. If they had that it would be amazing, but they dont and the product is still definitely worth buying. If you are a baseball fan and a psp owner, you need this title. ALSO: It is not an EA Sports Game. That is a good thing. I have boycotted that company since they are slowly taking the competition out of this industry. No competition means no reason to make the product any better, and no reasons to price your game at less than 50 bucks. GO 989!
