Download Games from PC to PSP in 6 Steps

First Of All: What Do You Need?

STEP 1: CONNECT YOUR PSP TO PC
The PSP can function as a USB Memory Stick Duo reader. Using this functionality, you can copy pictures, audio, and other content to and from your Memory Stick Duo. To access the Memory Stick Duo in your PSP from your PC, you'll need a USB cable that has a "Mini-B" connector (common for digital cameras) and a "Standard-A" connector (common for printers, etc). Plug the Mini-B side into the top of your PSP and the Standard-A side into your PC. From the psp software, navigate to the top of the settings list and select "USB Connection." Your PC (Windows/Mac/Linux) should detect a new "Removable Disk Drive" that you can then access.

STEP 2: FORMAT YOUR MEMORY STICK
In order to be able to use your new memory stick on your PSP, you'll have to format it. When you format your memory stick, the formatting will create a set of new folders on your PSP: GAME, MUSIC, PHOTO, and SAVEDATA.

STEP 3: EXTRACT THE SAVED GAME
This process will greatly depend on which software you use to extract zip files. WinRAR for instance offers the "extract here" option, which will simply extract the contents of a zip file to it's current directory.

STEP 4: TRANSFER SAVE GAME TO "SAVEDATA" FOLDER
Just copy the folder you have just extracted, and paste it into the PSP's "SAVEDATA" folder. But, BEWARE!, to any folder overwrite warnings! Because the PSP save game folders use the same names for the same games, copying folders into these locations could lead to lost data. For this reason, we recommend that you backup your old save games before overwriting them. For Example, I would simply rename a folder like "ULPS0004" to "ULPS0004_backup."

STEP 5: EXIT USB MODE
Because your PSP has been in USB Mode throughout this process, just push X to exit. Then you can safely disconnect your PSP from your PC.

STEP 6: VERIFY TRANSFER OF SAVE DATA
To verify the integrity of the SAVE GAME data you have just transferred, use the PSP's built-in Save Data Utility. Select it from the "Game" menu.

That's it, simple and smooth. The only question I can think of that lingers in your mind could be "Where Can I download psp games ?" Well we have reviewed three of the best downloadsites available for psp games right here download psp games

That's Hot! PSP Burns Through Kid's Pocket

In a strange twist, a PSP handset caught fire while in a child's pants at school. Harold Clay, 12, was in band class when the Sony Playstation Portable caught fire in his pocket.

Clay wasn't given much warning, as the portable device quickly heated up and burned through his pocket. Taught to "stop, drop & roll", that's exactly what young Harold did.

The portable console was reportedly turned off when it caught fire. Clay's parents have contacted Sony and are trying to determine if any other cases have been reported. PSP batteries have been known to explode and/or breakdown, but I haven't seen any other cases like this where an individual was harmed by the burning device.

In an ironic twist, the name of the game in Harold's charred PSP - "Burn Out".

The PSP left 2nd degree burns on Harold Clay, who luckily was not hurt worse.

PSP Games Videos, And Software At Your Fingertips

With PSP games, you have the ability to do alot. In fact, this unit is almost like carrying around your own personal gaming computer in your pocket. When it was created, it was created to provide for the highest level of portable gaming possible. The PSP is more than just that today. It allows you to watch the latest video, download a few games to play whenever you would like to, and you can even get the latest news if you would like to. PSP game downloads offer you the flexibility of being able to play and see whatever you want without having to go down to the video store and paying for it. The PsP also allows you to download your favorite music and much more.

When it comes down to it, PSP game downloads will allow you to do whatever you want whenever you would like to. They come programmed with the ability to connect to the web or to the network to allow you to download from the site. But, you can also access several communities that offer free PSP game downloads as well. You do not have to go through their network, in other words. If you would like to download free PSP games to your player, simply visit any of these websites, register with them (which seems to be a requirement) and choose the games that you would like to play.

There are also many paid memberships that you can have as well. Of course, the best PSP games are available on these locations for downloads. But, before you hand over your credit card number, make sure that you know what they have to offer. Not all of these communities offer the best availability. You can find those communities that offer more than just PSP game downloads as well. They can provide you with the latest videos, movies, trailers and much more.

Another benefit to using them is the fact that you can get the latest information about what is coming out and how you can get your hands on the latest PSP downloads. I have visited a few sites that do offer free PSP games, with a wide verity to choose from. See the above link to find one site I like for retrieving unlimited free PSP games for a one time membership fee.

Keep coming back as I will be posting more information on products and sites were you can get millions of downloads.

Visit some of my websites at PsP Downloads and PsP Game Downloads

PSP 2000 Available - PSP Slim & Lite Version

Sony Psp Slim: not Slim in Features

The Sony PSP Slim and Lite is a handheld game console that was developed and released by Sony Computer Entertainment.

The new PSP Slim model gaming console from Sony is 33% lighter and 20% slimmer than the original PSP system. The model numbers have changed to PSP-2000, following the previous region-based numbering scheme. Sony launched the PSP Slim model gaming console in Europe on September 5 and in the U.S. on September 6, 2007 and in Korea on the next day to the U.S. release. The PSP Slim and Lite model has removed the metal chassis but has, improved WLAN modules and Micro-controller and a thinner and much lighter LCD display.

The PSP-2000 commonly known as "PSP Slim and Lite", offers several other tweaks and improvements from the older generation. It comes with doubled internal memory of 64 MB aimed to improve load times and accommodate for an improvement in the web browser's performance. Sony in an aim to make the PSP slimmer has reduced the capacity of the battery by about 1/3rd. The runtime of the PSP is still the same as the older model. Thanks to the efficient power usage. But, the battery cover on the newer model does not fit over the older battery. Thanks to the bulkier size.

The PSP Slim and Lite model comes with a new enamel coated finish that will prevent scratches and smudges. The serial port is also in modified form as to accommodate a new video-out feature. The new model comes with a new UMD loading tray design that is more efficient in terms of size, while the Wi-Fi switch is now on the top of the console and the Memory Stick slot moved to the upper left. The speakers are now placed on the front of the PSP near the top of the screen. The PSP Slim and Lite model gaming console was released in Hong Kong on August 30, 2007. It was launched in North America on September 5 and in New Zealand on September 14, 2007.

Sony PSP to be Lighter, Slimmer starting in September

Announced today by Sony, is the news that the kid & adult friendly Playstation Portable will be remodeled and released in September lighter & slimmer than the current handheld model. The new PSP handheld model will be approximately 33% less weight than the current version and 19% slimmer (or thinner). I guess it's too heavy for everyone right now (not).

Kazuo Hirai, chief executive of Sony Computer Entertainment, made the PSP announcement during a presentation at the E3 video game exposition.

A spokeswoman for Sony told Reuters the slimmer PSP would retail for about the same as the current PSP.

In related news, Sony cut the price of the Playstation 3 on Monday by $100. It's still too much, but at least you now save another $100 off of the cost. Microsoft will not be following suit w/ the price cut, stating their X-Box 360 model will remain at the same price for the time being.

Bouncy: Virtual Lap Dances Vol 1 - Adult UMD, XXX UMD

It's official... Adult UMD's for your PSP. Yes, you can now order "porn" on your Playstation PSP. Although Bouncy's Virtual Lap Dances Volume 1 doesn't market itself as an XXX title, the UMD does show full nudity and some cowgirl sex.

Did I mention it was cheap? The Virtual Lap Dances DVD is selling right now for only $13.99, so it's definitely not like buying a new PSP game or even some real Adult DVD's. The site does say that it's not going to be released until 2010, but I really doubt the wait is that long.

Here's a description of the Virtual Lap Dances UMD/DVD from Bouncy:

"Virtual Lap Dances #1 features 12 of Bouncy's hottest girls doing very explicit strip teases with close up nudity and giving lap dances that go all the way. The lap dances go from simple grinding and teasing to full on cowgirl sex. All of these scenes are shot in first person perspective to give the viewer the experience that has made Bouncy famous - true virtual reality. Although not an XXX title, Virtual Lap Dances #1 is the first UMD release by an American porn company and the ONLY UMD IN THE WORLD that shows close up nudity, celebrating every beautiful inch of women and their glorious sexuality!"
The reviews of the XXX UMD aren't all that great at this point, but they appear to be fake anyway, so you're probably getting exactly what the DVD title indicates - virtual lap dances... nothing more, nothing less (ok, so a lot less clothes). :P

Buying the game will be difficult for anyone under 18, so stay away if you fit in that category.

Syphon Filter Dark Mirror for PSP Game Reviews:
Reviewer: slugbone (usa) -I own 12 PSP games currently, and I've sold off about 6 more. This by far is the best game I have played that maximizes what the PSP can do. As much as I love Burnout Legends and Daxter, this one ranks a little higher.

The Good - User friendly controls, great sound, absolute beautiful graphics. This plays like a expensive demo that was tailored to show what the system can do. The difference being it is a full game with extended playability and multi-player action. If you had to rank a game #1 based on everything you want in a shooter, it would be this game. It has stealth, action, cool gadgets that are easy to get to and creativity with the story line.

The Bad? There really isn't any negatives, unless you don't like shooters too much. The frame rate is smooth, and even the training mode is well designed and plays like a mission. You would be hard pressed to find a game that takes as much care in putting the absolute best product out for gamers.

Overall, 5 stars and worth the money. If your thing is multi-player you will definitely like this game. Huge replayability here. If you prefer solo, the game will last you a long time and be challenging. This one is somewhat of a hidden gem based on the few reviews, I highly recommend it for shooter enthusiasts.

Reviewer: Hans D. Kiser (MA, USA) - I was worried when they started bringing shooters out on the PSP. I've grown accustomed to the dual analog sticks on the PS2 and Xbox. And was worried how I would be able to pull off the move and shoot. After about a 30 minute learning period with Syphon Filter, I was already smashing the time records in training mode. Which was definitly another benefit to the game. There are four training missions you can choose to play to get accustomed to the game. They range from basic movement to a sniper mission. The controls will take some getting used to since you use the analog stick for movement and the x, circle, square and triangle buttons to look in different directions. But once you get used to them you'll be running and gunning with the best of them. On easy mode the game took me approximatly 12 hrs to beat. However, I take my time trying to acheive every side mission. The average gamer will get a good 8-10 hrs out of the game. You also have the option to replay any level that you have already beat to attempt to get more steath, environmental, dart, or headshot kills. When such goals are acheived you can unlock alternate levels and weapons that you can used in the mission mode. I have about 22 hrs total in the game and I still have not unlocked everything. So there is some replayability in the game. Unlike Daxter for the PSP, I played it through and even though it was a great game I had no desire to pick it back up.

Conclusion - Syphon Filter is a great action shooter game. It combines the usual elements you expect and even some steath and spy maneuvers. In fact several levels are signifigantly easier if you take your time to use steath to eliminate your enemies. You can always go in guns blazing but that does not always work out. Again there is about a 30 minute learning curve. But it is fairly easy to get accustomed to the controls and go about your merry way stabbing and shooting. The only real complaint I have about the game is several times I performed a steath kill, it would not register on the player stats page and could not reach the goal for a level. Which was pretty annoying at time since I was so close to unlocking another weapon. Other than that its a great game.

Daxter for Playstation PSP Game Review

Daxter for PSP

Daxter for PSP Game Review:
Reviewer: ps2 gamer "star wars" - If you've owned a PSP for a long time you've probably kept hearing that it doesn't have any good games. Daxter proves otherwise. If you've been bored with all of the games the PSP has now, be bored no longer! Daxter is quite possibly the best PSP game out there, with awesome graphics, gameplay, story, and many more features.

If you're a hardcore fan of the Jak and Daxter series like me, then you won't be disappointed with this game. It does everything great. The story takes place between Jak 1 and Jak 2. If you rememeber, at the beginning of Jak 2 Jak arrives at haven city. He is then immediately captured by the Krimzon Guards, but Daxter escapes. Jak is put in prison, and then the game skips 2 years later and you see how Daxter saves Jak. The game's storyline takes place in those 2 years, and you'll learn how Daxter saves Jak and what he has done in that time. At the beginning of the game, Daxter is offered a job as a bug exterminator. He takes it, because he hopes that while he goes around exterminating bugs he'll also find Jak along the way. By the way, these are metal head bugs, so they'll put up a fight.

Now, first of all, let's get the bad stuff out of the way. This game is kind of short, and you'll be able to finish it in 10-13 hours. Also, some people might find it disappointing that haven city is smaller than it was in Jak 2, and there aren't any people walking in the streets, even though they're flying in zoomers. However, these are very minor problems, and they don't affect the game in any very bad way.

Now on to the good things. This game's graphics are absolutely phenomenal. They are the best graphics on any PSP game out now, and I daresay that they're even better than the graphics of many PS2 games. I'm not exaggerating. They are absolutely gorgeous. There is an impressive amount of detail in all of the environments you'll visit, and they all look very unique and great. Just take a look at Daxter himself (the character). His fur looks so realistic and cool, and all of the textures in the game are similar. The character designs are also cool and unique.

Speaking of characters, here they are. There's Osmo, which is an old man who's also Daxter's boss at the exterminator shop, yet he's very kind. There's his son Ximon, who is a surfer kind of guy. There's Osmo's daughter Taryng, which is a Lara Croft-like gal with a British accent who gives Daxter all of his weapons. There's Kaeden, some kind of creepy guy who really hates Daxter and his friends. And there are a few other characters, some of them from the other Jak games, like Errol and Count Vegar.

Another thing that the Jak series are greatly known for is their variety. Daxter delivers that too. There is a big variety of missions and things to do, and you'll do things ranging from simply killing bugs, to chasing a Truck on your scooter while it shoots bombs at you, to shoot down a bug with a turret while you're on a vehicle, and more. Also, there's lots of action and platforming to be done in this game. Like I mentioned earlier, you'll be fighting metal head bugs, and they're all different and unqiue. You'll get several weapons in the game: One being an electric flyswatter, which is basically a melee weapon, a sprayer which lets you stun enemies, a flamethrower(self explanatory), and a sonic blaster, which lets you shoot a bomb that creates a shockwave. You'll also have to pick up floating green orbs to power up tour sprayer weapons. Other than that, you also get an upgrade that lets you temporarily fly in the air with your sprayer, and you'll have to pick up green orbs mid-air in order to feul your sprayer and allow you to stay up a longer time. Jumping and flying around makes up this game's platforming, and its really very fun.

Also there's a bunch of other distractions that keep you busy and allow you to do things other than doing the main missions. You can roam around Haven city (by the way, you get a scooter to do it with) searching for secret areas and collectibles, you can go to levels that you've already played in order to pick up secrets you might have missed there, and perhaps most importantly, you can play mini-games called "dream sequences". These are very fun, and in them, you make Daxter go to sleep on his bed, and he'll have dreams in which he's the hero, and his dreams take place in movies like lord of the rings, the matrix, braveheart and more. They're basically just minigames in which you have to mash buttons according to what appears on screen, and they're really fun. You can unlock different combos for your flyswatter and other cool secrets if you play them. However, you must first collect enough precursor orbs in order to unlock these dreams.

There is also a multiplayer option called bug combat. You can pick up special bugs in your main game and use them in this multiplayer option. Each bug has 3 attacks it can use, and it's sort of a turn based rock-paper-scissors game with RPG elements. Claw attack beats Spit, Spit beats trap, and trap beats claw. You also get all kinds of unlockables for this from the main game, if you find them. You can get power ups that improve your bugs' health, attack, and more. You also get tokens that you can use in the middle of the combat, and they're things like shields that protect you from attacks, things that cancel your opponent's move, things that let you switch your attack after you already picked one, etc.

Overall Daxter is the best PSP game that's ever come out. I hope that other companies keep making games like this. If they do, the future looks very bright for the PSP. So if your a Jak and Daxter fan, or if you just own a PSP, you should definitely buy this game.

P.S. You can also connect your PSP to your PS2 via USB cable, and if you have Jak X: Combat Racing, you can unlock cool stuff for it from the Daxter game. These things inculde: Four different characters to drive as, and a car called the Daxtermobile.
